The reason in the first place I decided to purchase such an expensive toothbrush was because my dentist said that== I needed to clean my teeth better. So after doing some research I found the Oral B Smartseries 5000
which had many good reviews on Amazon.After reading all of the instruction manual, and watching the DVD that comes in the box on how to correctly use the brush, I went to work on my teeth.
Turning on the toothbrush I put it on my teeth, immediately this felt different to my older brush. I did not feel as if I had to aggressively move the brush around my mouth to get a good clean, and in-fact there is a feature on this brush that will actually tell you if you are brushing to aggressively, which I think is extremely impressive.
After moving the brush around my mouth for a few minutes, making sure to get into all the awkward areas, the toothbrush then indicated to me when two minutes were up, the recommended brushing time.
I could immediately feel a difference in how my teeth felt just by rubbing my tongue over them. They felt exactly like your teeth would feel after getting them cleaned by your dentist. However these were the kind of result I was expecting from this brush, if you pay over $100 then why shouldn't we expect these results?!
What Really Made This Electric Toothbrush Stand Apart!
What made this really stand apart from the competition as the best electric toothbrush for me was the different modes that the brush has. During the first few weeks I had it set on "daily clean" mode designed for everyday use. Other modes included:
- Sensitive mode for people with sensitive gums
- Deep clean for exceptional cleaning
- Massage mode stimulates the gums
- Polish mode to give the teeth a great polish and teeth whitening
After rubbing the brush over my teeth on polish mode, not only did they feel exceptionally clean, but they also looked 100% whiter, and since I had been looking for something to whiten my teeth for a long time this was amazing for me.
My teeth after using the Oral B 5000 brush had never ever looked better, I was regularly getting compliments, and best of all I was actually looking forward to me next dentist check up, something I would normally hate.
My Dentist Check Up!
After going to the dentist it was the first time in EVER my dentist was happy with me. He was so impressed he ask me how much I paid to get my teeth whitened, and when I told him I hadn't, but changed my toothbrush he was really shocked!
He then turned to me, after criticising me a few months earlier over brushing my teeth, asking what toothbrush I was using. My own dentist asking me what I was using. After telling him what I was using he himself said he was going to buy one. What a turnaround to say the least, my biggest critic, now taking recommendation from me on what I use for my teeth.
This Is Now Looking Like A Sale's Pitch
Sorry! This was not meant to sound like a sales pitch but I did get carried away. I am now going to rap this up saying that I had amazingly good results using the Oral-B Professional Care Smartseries 5000 toothbrush, but it doesn't necessarily mean you will, I guess the only way you will find out is by trying it for yourself.

As with most things these days, there are many places you can buy this from, but I cannot recommend anywhere better than Amazon.com. They usual have the cheapest prices and they are a well trusted site. You can shop around if you want but I seriously believe you will most likely still end up back on Amazon.

The BAD Aspects Of This Toothbrush
I really could not find any really bad points about this brush, but there were a few issues that may be a problem for some people.
Firstly the charging base is a little big, which may not make it convenient for people who want to take it on there regular travels.
And the second and last issue is the brush may be a little big if you have a really small mouth. For that reason I would not recommend it as a toothbrush for kids or if you have braces.
Get This Now Before It's Gone!
I really have a feeling that this brush will be a big seller during the Christmas period, and will most likely either go up in price or get sold out. If you really want this brush for yourself or as a gift for someone I would advice you buy it now
