What Is The Clarisonic Mia cleansing system?

The Clarisonic Mia is a facial cleansing brush that has been designed to remove dead skin cells, dirt and other impurities from the facial area. It does this in a very simple but extremely effective way, the head of the brush spins while the bristles get deep within the pores. It really is nothing more to it.

Why I decided To Buy The Clarisonic Mia

I had been thinking of buying the Mia for some time, the only thing that was holding me back was the price, but last year before Christmas I decided I would get it for myself as a gift.

The main reason I wanted one of these was due to my acne. I had read several reviews of it helping people with there acne, in addition to other skin conditions such as rosacea. I knew that if the device was effective in helping to reduce my problem skin it would be worth the price 10x times over.

Does The Clarisonic Really Work?

Here is the $149.99 question I guess (that is the price of the Mia). During the 2 weeks of using the Mia I honestly thought I had just wasted a lot of money, and worst of all made my skin worse. I had 6-7 new breakouts during the first 2 weeks. I almost threw the thing in the bin, but then changed my mind and decided to give it a full 4 week trial like I initially planned.

During week 3 the breakouts had stopped, and after doing some extra research on the facial brush I had read that there is sometimes a "purging" stage for the first few weeks. What this meant was my skin would break out a lot at first but then stop and become much better.

And as it turns out this was thankfully for me the case. Not only did I stop breaking out but my skin became a lot brighter, smoother and softer. My acne looked 100% better, especially the little zits I had around my cheek areas.

After the 4 weeks because of the rocky start I decided to give it another 2 weeks extra. During the extra 2 weeks I also started to use a cleanser called Burt's Bees natural cleanser. I would first apply the cleanser to the skin and then use the device over my face for 1 minute, the recommended time.

After the extra 2 weeks my skin had over-all improved by at-least another 20% I would say. These results really impressed me, and I even got a compliment on my skin for the first time, from my mother mind you, but it all counts.

Would I recommend The Mia?

Yes! As you can see by my review above, after a rocky start the cleanser worked amazingly well. However if you are the kind of person who will not allow enough time to see if the device works or not, as I nearly did not, then I would advise against buying it.

Where Is The Best Place To Buy The Mia From?

There are many online stores you can buy the mia from, these include sephora.com, ulta.com and skincarerx.com. But for me I always go straight to Amazon.com when I am buying anything online. The reason for this is because they often have the best prices, and they are one of the most trusted sites online. That is were I purchased mine from BTW.

Is There A Cheaper Alternative To The Mia?

Yes! If the Mia is currently out of your price range there is another cleansing brush that works just as well, but for less than half the price! Read a review on this alerntaive here!
